Penny's Olds
1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International
This is Penny's 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International coupe. She purchased the car in July 1995. At the time, I didn't want her to get a car so similar to mine in every way (even the color), but she fell in love with it and just had to buy it! Well, at least the ground-effects and interiors are different colors.
This car has power everything, sport digital dash with bargraph gauges, front and rear bucket seats, power antenna, etc. It has every option except the automatic climate control, Driver Info Computer, and power moonroof. Its 2.8L V6 has over 130k and still runs great.
Everything is factory except for the stereo and wheels.
STEREO
The stereo is a Sony MDX-C7900 AM/FM MiniDisc player hooked up to the factory
speakers. The car has the factory door speaker option which many Cutlass Supremes
of the time didn't have (at least my
Olds didn't come with the factory door speakers).
WHEELS
Penny's Olds originally had factory 15"x6" aluminum crosslace
wheels with 215/65R15 tires. During May 1999, Penny had me put "new"
wheels on the car. The new wheels are Progressive Pro 33 tri-spoke polished
wheels, 16"x7". Penny got them really cheap from a girl that had them
on her Grand Am before she sold it with its original factory wheels. The tires
are Goodyear Eagle RS-A 225/60R16 that were graciously donated for free by my
friend Shane when he switched to Sumitomo's (they were OEM tires on his '95
Monte Carlo Z34). The new wheels really make the car stand out and they look
real sharp. The pictures below don't really do them justice, because they look
much nicer in person.

By the way, in case you're wondering, we took the pictures where we did because it was Independence Day weekend and every place was rather crowded. This was the only peaceful place we could find where there weren't a lot of (living) people around.
Gee,
isn't that cute, Penny and I practically have identical cars
(although mine's an '89 and I've had it for a year and
a half longer - if you look carefully, you might notice the ground-effects
on mine are a much lighter shade of silver, heheh)
Also, check out my OLD BEATER! Actually, it's not really an old beater, but it didn't cost too much more than how much people usually spend on old beaters.
