sonyman87
ok remember how i couldnt find the stupid CTS coolant temperature sensor.. well i was correct about being in multipul places for the 94/95 LQ1. for the 95 they were located either in the intake manifold(Not mine!) and they were also located int he Back of the block next to the firewall!!! so i said fuck it and am having dealership people fuck with it. this is a good thing im letting them do it b/c they usually point out something i dont notice wrong and will help keep me out of trouble later down the road. 70bux in labor plus parts.. i dont think im getting to overly ass reamed for the amount of work they have to do to get to it, afterall they are the ones who found it. the reason for changing the sensor is to help fix my still exsisting cold start which is NOT an intake leak, the revs are controled usually around 2k to 2.2k rpms in the morning way to low for intake leak plus the intake gaskests have been cleaned and changed short time ago along with a new IAC. cold starts only happen when under hoot temp is below 85* other wise car runs great but when its under 85* it will stumble at 1000rpms like its missing or not getting enough gas and rev to 2krpms and drop back to 1000rpms stumbling until it warms a little usually 30seconds. Another clue is that the temperature gauge on the dash dosen't go all the way to the left like it used to. it only goes just below 100(min) and stopes where it used to go atleast a cm more left. sorry if this post seems rambled or bunched. I usualy make posts right before i go to bed and im out of it tonight.
brian89gp
All the LQ1's have 2 CTS sensors, a 1 wire sensor that is in the drivers side of the front head that controls the temp gauge, then there is a 2 wire sensor in the lower intake manifold. The sensors in the rear of the block are the knock sensor and CPS sensor...
