Hub Cleaning

this weekend i'll be changing out front rotors (again) :motz2:

before, i always used a drill and a wire wheel to grind all the rust off the hubs. any quicker way to do this?

also, is their a easily avaiable commerical solution or rustproffing or something that will actually slow the rust down? i've been using Mercury Marine's Corrosion Guard the last 2 or 3 times i did brakes, but it really hasn't done a whole lot.

I always coat the hubs and the mounting surface of the rotors with anti-sieze. Coat the front face of the rotor around the lugs and the lugs themselves with it, too. Next time you do a brake job, you'll be glad you did! Oh yeah, and coat the caliper bracket mounting bolts too...

thats it. i've also seen a few rust removal sprays. i'm looking for a quicker way to remove the rust, so i don't have to sit there all day with a drill grinding it off

after you remove the rust, get some zinc chromate paint and paint the hubs. they'll never rust again

thanks for the rust prevention tips, but anyone know a quick way to remove rust that is already on the hub?
