henschman
if all you want is sound, just cut off the stock muffler and buy a $20 glass pack. I used a cherrybomb on my lumina and it had a nice rumble when it was revved, but you couldn't hear it too much when cruising.

Stevo
I wish people would make sound clips in which you could hear the sound you were wanting to hear and not sqeaky birds or overbearing hiss noise. Come on guys. :?
Heza
Yeah.........it does. The ONLY good part is the idle. TRU! i couldnt agree any more. i got 40s put on my '94 Prix 3100 and liked it at first, but when i actually got to listening to it drive away daily since my girlfriend owns it now...i hate it. sounds like a tin can. however, my buddy installed 40s with a huge Flowmaster resonator on is Thunderchicken 3.8 and it sounds really nice. so im gonna find a good sized resonator for my girl's car. cryptnix
honestly man just go with whatever your budget will allow. just don't do anything that'll restrict and like everyone says there are other pricey things you can do to it to make it sound lower and all that other good shit but summit turbos sound decent on our cars up to 3000 rpm it gives it a nice low v8 rumble. i am seriously thinking on going with summit turbos just to get me the setup that I want! i'm doing it really for the looks vs. the sound but then the sound actually is something I should be mostly concerned about just because of the fact that well it is a v6 and that making something look good is actually pretty simple. Just keep it simple, so if you do go with cheap mufflers then you'll be able to replace them and sell them and basically say they weren't used and whatnot just an idea though man. I'm in the same boat as you right now. Just promise me that you won't run straight pipes from the cat back.
cryptnix
These links may or may not work anymore........but they are a 3100 with 2.25" mandrel bent pipe, a Thrush glasspack, and a Dynomax ultraflo muffler..... http://www.3100beretta.netfirms.com/Idle.MPG http://www.3100beretta.netfirms.com/Revs1.MPG http://www.3100beretta.netfirms.com/Revs2.MPG Personally, I don't care what an exhaust sounds like......as long as it flows well (something chambered or louvered core mufflers don't do). I also really don't care what you think......so no one else should care what I think. sounds nice to me.
