tloftus Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Hey guys, Before I bought my cutlass a few weeks ago it was sitting infront of a wall that was painted with a sprayer. I got all the paint off the car with a clay bar / rubbing compund & buffer. Now I have this stuff all over the plastic moldings, I think i can get it off with some softscrub or something, but anyone have any other ideas. Also what do you all use for darkening up and shining the rubber moldings, like around the front and rear windows? Tom Quote
midnight rider Posted August 9, 2004 Report Posted August 9, 2004 Carb cleaner will take it off of the windows. You can use it on the painted parts and plastic as long as you wipe fast. just remeber to wax the paint afterwords, as the carb cleaner will remove wax too. I do this at work all the time to remove tar and bumber scrapes. Quote
Bake82 Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Did you try the claybar on the plastic? IT should take it off! Good luck. Quote
