Kalgorn Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 For this past week now I've been having a problem with my gas tank. After driving it for a little while and parking I hear a loud beeping coming from the gas door. When I open the gas cap the beeping stops and you can hear the pressure drop rapidly. You can actually see fumes coming out. What the hell is this and how can I stop it? Is this bad? It's really annoying because the beeping is loud as shit. Quote
Dan94Z34 Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 there is a vent tube on the fuel tank that vents all the excess gas vapors to the charcol canister. If the line is pluged, then it would cause excess vapor to build up in the tank. Quote
Jcrow Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 On my last 2 gas fill ups, when I remove my cap it sounds like the tank is under vacuum!? You can hear it sucking in pretty strong. Quote
