Trim removal, how to not break?

so I finally found someone to get a hold of a new one of these for me, but he's askin me how to get it off without breaking it... any ideas other than just being really really careful?

I have had the opportunity to remove a set of complete "belt" trim from a cutty vert.

 

For the piece on either door. You need to remove the door handle and the mirror. This will expose a screw tab at each location which are normally hidden when the door handle and mirror are installed.

 

Remove the two screws. Next you need to remove the trim piece by removing the outer rubber weather strip from the door by pulling straight up. The plastic belt trim is usually attached to the weather strip with double sided tape.
