jamhoney
How is the pump in tank any different? Whoops I meant the FPR not the pump. Why would GM revert from a boost regulated to a static pressure system?
manitcor
How is the pump in tank any different? Whoops I meant the FPR not the pump. Why would GM revert from a boost regulated to a static pressure system? It doesnt really matter as far as our FPR goes as the pressure regulator doesnt open up the fuel flow much more anyway. With fuel injection it is the injectors and the computer that handle your fuel flow anyway so unless your injectors require more fuel than the stock regulator is capable of flowing your fine. OldsmoBeast
Okay...i've been sort of following along with this thread... but I'm unclear on a couple things...in the 3100, if you were to get 22.5lb injectors, wouldn't the car run rich all the time? and would you really be gaining anything? those are my 2 questions, because I have a 97 CS Coupe, 3100, OBD2...so I would consider getting bigger injectors based on those two things. Thanks YK
manitcor
correct your A/F will be off if you just throw in larger injectors, you will also need to tune your PCM to use the larger injectors properly.
OldsmoBeast
how does that work? like...how does one go about doing that? and what are the gains?
digitaloutsider
Its a close relative to the t60 however can handle more power and is less prone to the famos 75k destruction most seem to expierence. My 4T65 went out at exactly 75,000 miles... My 4T60 still runs fine at 175k. Go figure.
