97+ GP is technically a "widetrack" however much that is worth...

I was looking at new ones in the showrrom and noticed that pontiac is still carrying on with this widetrack thing...

Pontiac isn't really.. It's probably just that dealership.. If they start up that ad campaign with tony stewart.. I;m gonna go belistic.. :willynilly:

The "WideTrack" trademark (?) came out way back in 1959 when Pontiacs got that low, wide look.

 

Of course Bonnevilles, Catalinas and Venturas are NOT W-Bodies.

Yes, they are continuing it, but not to the extent they did for the 1997 model year. No one really cares anymore.

Widetrack is merely the lower sitting ride with the fat looking trim...

 

97+ GPs are wider, but I don't nessesarily like that. If I wanted a bigger car I'd get a Bonneville.
