MIKELABZ Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 look at the car in the sig. it has a red interior. Quote
WhiteOut Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Painting anything besides a firetruck red and black should be a federal crime. Stick with normal/classic colors, I mean some day your going to have to sell the car. I vote black, black/gray is sweet, but two tone would be hard too do on a 93' and up Cutlass. Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 so repaint it the same color it is?? isnt that called a touch up? if i'm going to be spending big bucks i want to see a big change not a small one. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Get tint and different wheels then... Quote
WhiteOut Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Or instead of spending a couple grand on a nice paint job sell the car and buy another one who's color you do like. Quote
slick Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 If you want a major change, go with some 20's, mirror tint, and bright bright metallic orange! I say keep it black because it just looks cleaner. Black and white cars, in general, have a sleeker, cleaner appearance in my opinion. Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 tint is too expensive for what it is. our rear windows will jack up the price too. i can see wheels. sawblades arn't exactly the most elegant design out there. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Don't change the color completely unless you plan on stripping it down to the frame. Keep the damn thing black, anyway. Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 im thinking like a red thats so dark it looks black from far away. Quote
slick Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Hmm.... Do black with red pearl in it, or big red metallic flake!! Quote
White93z34 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 if ya want a change, get an exhaust, change your interior color to black/gray, get some nice rims, and tint the windows, and if the paints bad repaint it black Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 how would i get the dash to be black? Quote
slick Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I dyed mine black. It looks pretty damn good too, but shines soo much on sunny days that its a nice glare on the windshield. Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 i would probably get the whole dash unit replaced... mine has a defective glove box. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 If WHITE was an option id vote for it. White paint with tints, rims, and blacked out lights would look really good. Quote
White93z34 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 if you can go to a local scrapers and try and find a cutlass with a black leather or gray leather interior and strip everything out and swap it out piece by piece Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 keep it solid black and get some gunmetal colored 5 spokes and tint. Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 thats always an option. just that i have a door here thats in need of some detailing and there are a few nooks and cranies that need a touch up... i like black and that red interior limits me on how many other colors i can incorporate.. so i figure a dark dark red would allow me to keep my blacked out tailights and be flexible enough to run the gunmetal spokes and black tint... GnatGoSplat Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I would leave it all black, add some limo tint, lower it, and put on some 18" or 19" chrome wheels. Quote
