Combo lock on a glove box?

any one know how to change the combo on the lock on the glove box of an 89 grand prix?

If you know the code, set it sou you can open it. Hold the release all the way over and push up the little orange tab. Set the numbers, release the orange tab, and vioala!

IIRC you just put the yellow/orange button UP while changing the numbers..

 

If its locked and you don't know the code you can get a special tool.

Ok i know this is a old thread but i have a 1990 TGP and i have no idead what the code is for the Glove Box, called the dealer and they said they have no way of looking that info up any more. So what is this special tool that you speak of "THe_DeTAiL3R"? Cause i need it.

Getting the combo is extremely easy.

 

get right in front of the combo to the (I THINK) right of each number there is a little gap turn the number wheels till the little teeth things in there vanish then move onto the next number. once they are all gone it should open.
