test4echo
I changed out the CTS today and the t-stat. I dd not remove the plenum for this, was PITA and I'll never do it again but, its done. I noticed that my NEW CTS would not go in as far as my old one. I checked the Coolant intake on the TB and I could see the CTS sensor poking its head into the TB a little under about a half inch. Do you think that the sensor will still work properly? It looks like the CTS could use another Full turn (I have about a thread and a half still visible). It just will not budge anymore. Its not leaking, and "most" of the sensor head is where its supposed to be. I hope thats enough..... Anyone know for sure? Thanks, test,
Robby1870
sounds fine to me. Did you clean the threads well before you put the new one in?
test4echo
Clean them really good with a spiral brush and some TB cleaner. I put some teflon tape on the CTS instead of (what I think they used, Silicone) because I knew It was gonna take a long time to screw that baby back in. If I would have used Silcone, it would dried on the the threads and made the job impossible. Thanks robby1870, I hope your right. test,
