GnatGoSplat
Popping through intake - check fuel pressure. Could be fuel pump.

SigEpCutlass
i say it sounds like the pump. When you change the pump, change the filter too.
CodeRedZ24
how hard is it on the w-bodys when i changed the tank filter tank pump and fuel filter on my z24 it was kind of a pain in the butt
Stevo
My 88' tank pump is accessed through the trunk floor. The fuel filter is even easier under the body near the B pillar.

Your 88 must be modified then, because a stock 88 (and all W-bodies) need the tank dropped to get to the pump. It is a pain.
