GnatGoSplat Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Popping through intake - check fuel pressure. Could be fuel pump. Quote
patgizz Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 my top 2 guesses. #1 pump #2 extremely clogged filter my money is on the pump. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 i say it sounds like the pump. When you change the pump, change the filter too. Quote
CodeRedZ24 Posted July 23, 2004 Author Report Posted July 23, 2004 how hard is it on the w-bodys when i changed the tank filter tank pump and fuel filter on my z24 it was kind of a pain in the butt Quote
Stevo Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 My 88' tank pump is accessed through the trunk floor. The fuel filter is even easier under the body near the B pillar. Quote
CodeRedZ24 Posted July 23, 2004 Author Report Posted July 23, 2004 hmm i`ll have to check cause for my z24 i had to drop the tank Quote

Your 88 must be modified then, because a stock 88 (and all W-bodies) need the tank dropped to get to the pump. It is a pain. Quote
