Psych0matt Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 So I was thinking, all the cai setups i have seen are piping from the engine down to the fender well or another cold air place with the filter on the end. Wouldn't sometthing like this work: cutting a part of the stock airbox off and then piping it from the factory airbox, so as to keep the same filter and box and everything. i just thought that may be an interesting twist and you wouldnt have to buy a seperate filter, just run a pipe from the airbox out to wherever. WhiteOut Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 It would work, but then you just risk getting more debris into the system, plus you still don't have the increased filer surface area that a cone filter provides, thus less air will enter the system (although perhaps still better than stock though).
