bigbill23se
my airbox is from a different engine(not sure what one) but i took the top off of it and left it off. nox my ecu is in there with the filter, should i be worried about it getting wet when it rains or what
sl3196
Don't worry the pcm is supposed to be in the airbox on the newer gp's. I just switched my intake and noticed the pcm was quite dirty but I dont think water can leak in, its sealed pretty good.
bigbill23se
water can get under my hood bc i the guy who had it before was in an accident and the hood is bent up slightly but it wont fry my pcm??
sl3196
As long as you keep the top of the box on it shouldn't be a problem.
92turboLE
ya know... the PCM in the airbox seems like an odd place, but its actually kinda clever... i bet they did that for cooling the PCM.... - Justin
sl3196
Yeah my new wizair box keeps it cooler than the stock box because the pcm sits right below the filter. The stock box seperates it from the airflow.
