SUPERDUTYD Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 for some reason my turn signals don't work on my driver side. the indicator on the dash stays lit which usually means a bad bulb. i switched all the bulbs from the other side and they still don't work. all bulbs are verified good. driving and brake lights all work. i replaced the flasher. what else should i check? SUPERDUTYD Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 i suppose it's hard to replace. Quote
jeremy Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 i suppose it's hard to replace. it is kind of a PITA, and a "new" switch is pricey too... are you sure you replaced the right flasher, my cutty has two.... one more thing, does it blink when you put your hazards on? Quote
SUPERDUTYD Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 only the one side blinks with the signals and hazards. is there one flasher per side? Quote
jeremy Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 only the one side blinks with the signals and hazards. is there one flasher per side? mine has a flasher for the blinkers and one for the hazards.....I would guess your issue is indeed the switch if you already replaced the bulbs/flasher.... digitaloutsider Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Exactly my old problem. Try pulling on the stalk slightly when you turn on your signal to see if it illuminates then. Quote
supreme_style21 Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Yup.. mine just toasted itself tonight. Same symptoms. Quote
White93z34 Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 when my car did that i just checked every light bulb, turned out one of the turn signal bulbs blew Quote
DiscoStudd Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 If you have a 95-99 Z, check out my write up on how to replace the signal switch: http://www.users.uswest.net/~ace69/column/94upsignal.htm If you have an 88-94, check out a Hayne's manual. I've had 3 95-up columns apart, so if you do have a 95-99 and have any questions, feel free to drop me a PM... Quote
