THe_DeTAiL3R
All I can tell you is where is is on my car.. 1988 GP might be the same. Fuel filter is in front of the gas tank (facing the engine). Disconnect the wires that go to the fuel pump, then run the car in park until it stalls (releases pressure in the fuel line). There will still be some gas come out when you disconnect the filter from the fuel lines so have a couple rags handy. Other tips - use WD-40 (or something better) on the bolts before hand cause they like to rust up. - Make sure you put the filter on the correct way. There is usually an arrow pointing to which way it goes. I'm not sure but I think its can only go on one way anyways. - Check for leaks afterwards.. they leak sometimes after. DiscoStudd
It's in the same location on the 95 Regal. You can't screw up the direction of the 95's filter, either. One end is threaded into a steel line, the other has a plastic line with a "hat" on the end. You have to use a needle-nose pliers to squeeze the blue retaining tab so you can disengage the plastic line from the filter. After you remove the filter, dab a little anti-sieze on the threads of the steel line's fitting...
