MIKELABZ Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 i have my brake lights sitting outside drying after i painted them all black. i'll post before and after pics as soon as they finish drying. [EDIT] BRAKE LIGHT BLACK HOW TO GUIDE. IN THE BACK OF THE LIGHT WILL BE 3 SCREWS. UNDO THESE AND PUT THEM SOMEPLACE WHERE THEY WONT GET LOST. NEXT DETACH THE LIGHT AND PULL THE BULBS OUT FROM THE LIGHT TWISTING TOWARDS THE RIGHT. REPEAT STEPS 1 AND 2 FOR THE OTHER BRAKE LIGHT. PLACE THE BRAKE LIGHTS ON A SURFACE YOU WONT MIND GETTING DIRTY. CLEAN THEM. TAPE OFF THE AREAS(THE REVERSE LIGHTS) THAT U DONT WANT BLACK. SPRAY OR PAINT THEM WITH TRANSPARENT BLACK PAINT. THE MORE COATS THE DARKER. SPRAY EVENLY. DONT SPARY TOO CLOSE OR THE PAINT WILL RUN AND CLOT. *LET DRY FOR ABOUT 6 HOURS. REATTACH TO CAR. (*)WET SAND IF GRAINY RESULTS. CONTRAST PIC. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 You mean with black spray paint? I sure hope not. You'll be on here next week looking for a new rearend after you get hit. Quote

MIKELABZ Posted July 7, 2004 Author Report Posted July 7, 2004 you dont have to use nightshades but it is the premier window tint spray. Quote
z34_nut Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 *BUMP bump?? hows that a bump? we were talking about your tailights right? Quote
supreme_style21 Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 oh my.. you painted them with regular black spraypaint?! wow Quote
z34_nut Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 i am kind curious to see the tailights lit up tho...if they don't light up i'm pretty sure you gonne get a handful of tickets Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 7, 2004 Author Report Posted July 7, 2004 they light. i'll take pics to confirm. Quote
supreme_style21 Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 They're supposed to reflect as well.. they sure won't anymore. Isn't a problem unless the cop is searching for a reason to pull you over.. so just make sure you never carry anything illegal in your car. Or do anything illegal. Quote
MIKELABZ Posted July 7, 2004 Author Report Posted July 7, 2004 side note:: dont get pissed and wet sand, you might just ruin your blackened brake lights. Quote
Brian P Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 If anything I'd change the color of the trunk reverse bar. Might just do that to sisters car and post digital pictures on the internet. Quote
