Crazy CAI idea

I'm a little worried about where and how I should set up my CAI. I was thinking of running a pipe down to where it would be, but have an open space up top that would somewhat captate the filter. Doing this would also eliminate the fear of water being sucked up if I were to hit a puddle or something, and in the event of air friction going into the tube being too great it could pull air from elsewhere= more air and HP. What do you all think about this? Maybe I could run 2 tubes resulting in even more free flow of air.
