Hi guys,

92 Z34,

I've had K'Ns before, swore by them.

However, this time I saw a another product that peeked my interest. I'll tell you why in a bit.

It's called the Ractive Super Flow and It comes with Yes a really sweet looking heat shield.

http://www.toucanindustries.com/index.php?src=directory&view=products&srctype=display&back=products&id=57893&submenu=Ractive&category=Performance%20Air%20Filters&pos=0,15,36#

I Choose the black one. Its all they had at the time.

After purchasing some lightweight aluminium tubing, I wrapped it in Aluminium Foil Tape.

From the TB all the way to the base of the Ractive filter's heat shield.

I cut out a hole for the IA Sensor and that was that.

NO SES lights......yet....

I didn't move the battery or anything, the cone with heat shield fit very nicely in place where the old box intake used to be.

(I know, its not a TRUE CAI, but, I only had a half hour to do this.)

What a difference. All I can say.

Love it.

Now the reason I'm happy about it, this filter with shield only cost me 35 bucks.

Its reusable and they even suggest using K&N filter cleaner to clean it.

I for one think this a great alternative to K&N if you don't have the 100 Bucks.

Course, I'm NOT saying its better than K&N, but the Air Flow Is the same, and it looks much better.

As well as being much cheaper.

Very cool.....

test,
