dohc v6
when ever i go over a bump the left front wheel (driver) i hear a clumk. it is pretty loud. i have replaced the ball joint and the tie rod ends a while back and the front strut. could it be a blown strut. it almost sounds like it is loose. i was changing my ps pump last night and had to turn the wheel alot could that have done it. Jcrow
I climbed under my clunking cutlass last night and found I could move the engine cradle around with a pry bar. I tightend the rear mounts more and it helped (rear mounts are all new), then I went to tighten the front mounts and found the rubber pieces completely disintegrated. Try prying around under the car and if something moves its probably bad

Jcrow
After I replaced all the bushings it still clunks, not as bad. Over the weekend I made subframe connectors out of angle iron. NO CLUNKS! The engine cradle moving around caused all the clunks, now it handles tighter and the shifts even feel firmer!
