HUD probs

PROBLEM! HUD's reversed/upside down screen is not lighting up, but the little light on the dimmer switch is on. could this be because i don't have all the wires hooked up? i got the power wire(to fuse block), the 3 color matched wires from the dimmer to the unit, & both grounds hooked up, and the vss and left turn hooked up. something tells me that i might need to hook the parking lamps up to solve this problem(lets hope!). plus, i need a schematic on the p.lamps, 4 wires on each harness.
