89BuickRegalGS Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 My stearing has always been a little weird. I have to turn the wheel slightly to the left to get it to track straight. If i let the wheel go on center itself, teh car automatically drives towards teh right. It did this, tehn i hit a curb at 40 mph, and it got royally f'ed up. After my garage replaced the left balljoint, rotated teh tires, and aligned it, the stearing problem is STILL there. Any ideas? Quote
JW Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 take it back to the place that did the alignment, tell them your problem and make sure they do a 4 wheel alignment.it should track strait if they did the alignment properly. Quote
djardeli Posted December 11, 2002 Report Posted December 11, 2002 My first guess is bad tie rod ends but they would have checked that before replacing that ball joint. Does the car lean to one side? How new are your struts? A warped rear fiberglass leaf spring caused by driving with bad struts will cause a permanent pull. My stearing has always been a little weird.
