GnatGoSplat Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 Thanks Josh, I'm looking forward to it. The rear of my car needs a drop BAD, especially after adding the ST springs to the front. I think I need to drop it almost 2-1/2" to match the front. Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 hope this is what you're looking for: dang i need some new suspension bushings.... Quote

Guest TurboSedan Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 how is it possible to modify the upper spring perch to lower the car? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted July 2, 2004 Author Report Posted July 2, 2004 Well, immediately I can see there are 2 hollow blocks. I suppose those could be cut out. Inside the blocks I believe is some kind of threaded thing, like a big rectangular nut with 2 holes (I don't know what you would call that). So you could drill holes in the top of the axle subframe to match the holes in the spring, then put that threaded nut thing above the axle and mount the spring that way. The only problem comes with the curvature of the spring. If the spring is too curved between the 2 rubber inner bushings, then it would physically touch the upper axle if the 2 hollow metal blocks are removed. If the spring does NOT touch the upper axle, then I think you'd be golden. I'd have to take a better look at a spring to see how much curvature is between the 2 inner rubber bushings. That was just my theory, anyway. It does look like clearance would be VERY tight with those big transverse arm nuts and threads in the way. Quote
