A condition where one or both front engine cradle bolts can pull through the retainers due to corrosion of the retainers. Consequence: If both bolts pull through, the front of the cradle would no longer be supported at the mounting locations and the steering intermediate shaft could separate from the steering gear. Corrective Action: Dealers will replace the front and rear frame/cradle bolts and retainers. Vegeta Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 I had all the recalls done on my car and it didnt take very long at all. The subframe bolts are super easy to take care of yourself though if they are just loose. 15mm socket and a ratchet. If you haven't had the recall done (i just dropped my subframe and the lower metal bracket looks new as well all around) then at least check your bolts for now. Those bolts are about 10 bucks each I believe.... Quote
