Givemebreak
Is this the yellow top I need for my GP? Anyone running one and how would you rate um? Thanks! Optima Yellow Top D34/
musthavemuzk
i rate them verry high. i used one last year that i borrowed from a team mate. he had 3 but was not using them as he was tearing his car apart to put a sub in his dash. 99 cav was his choice of victims. anyways i was running an ac delco platinum dual terminal. which was OK. but when i slapped the yellow top in i noticed an improvement in my scores. as i competed usaci outlaw SPL and dbdrag last season. i forget the specific model though. this was in my 90 cutlass Monty

mfewtrail
Your 1/4 times dropped with the yellow top? audio comp. probably Yep dbdrags =decibel drags.
musthavemuzk
what they said. car audio competitions. the optima yellow top batt discharges faster than a typical batt so the voltage stays higher briefly longer for a better decibel score. as well as recharging much faster. cutlsp
yeah those are good batteries a local car audio shop here sells just those batteries so they must be good batteries.
kadeas
Thats the one you need, it's good too. You may have probs. putting washer fluid res. back thou, because of the top mount terminals.
90TGP
The nice thing about Optima's is the coil design instead of the acid regular batterys use. That means you can mount it anywhere in any position without worrying about acid leaks or fumes.

cizin
Yellow top = awesome deep cycle for car audio enthusiast Red top = yellow top but last a lot longer for an everyday driver For an everyday driver, the yellow top will not last very long. I have heard of people replacing them within a year or two.

Kalgorn
does it fit in a Z34 without trouble That one wouldn't. Top terminals will not work on a Z34. Must be sides.

Actually from what I've seen they are both side and top terminals.
