Crimson Fury Z Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 you guessed it, HUD! need to relocate the speakers to the doors, cut the driverside speaker mount on the dash out, and walaa! till i can get a hold of a HUD dashpad. the lumi pad needs a lil more cutting on one corner, and i need to think of a snazzy way to cover the remaining speaker hole(most likely use vinyl). *note: where it looks like there is a section missing from the front of the pad, paper, the $20.00 digi needs brightness.* Quote
White93z34 Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 i've never seen an hud setup in a lumi before, got anymore pics? Quote
Crimson Fury Z Posted June 20, 2004 Author Report Posted June 20, 2004 not yet, any in particular you'd want to see? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 I hate to break it to ya since it looks like you already started cutting your dash pad BUT... You've got the HUD on backwards!!! Quote
Crimson Fury Z Posted June 21, 2004 Author Report Posted June 21, 2004 i had it the other way, then cut it, then i turned it around and poped it in, and that corner didnt go in. looks like i originaly did it right  good guess on my part now, whats the best way to "remove" the speaker mount attached to the 1 piece dash w/o having to take all that apart? GnatGoSplat Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Speaker mount? Well, can't help you there because I don't know anything about Lumina dashes. Another issue you might have is where the HUD will appear in the windshield. It looks like you put your HUD close to the front edge (closer to the windshield), but the Cutlass and GP HUD unit is actually closer to the back of the dash (closer to the driver). I think there is less than 1" between the edge and the HUD unit. Quote
