bigbadspoon Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 Hello all. About two days ago my poor little Cutlass started to squeel every time i drove over a speed bump or tapped on the brakes. At first, i thought it was the brakes because it will go thoughout most of the duration of my depressing the pedal. However, I drove over a speedbump and it made the exact same noise. I'm not sure what's causing this; I don't think it's the brakes, or at least only the brakes, because it happens when they are not being used at all sometimes. Anyway....If you understood what I was trying to say because I did it very poorly and you know what this is and how it could be fixed, please let me know. Quote
phantomshado Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 When you took the speed bump did it squeak at the front or rear wheels? My guess is that its the rubber bushings in the suspension. Worn out and squeaking from going up and down, that'll happen when the balance of the car changes from deceleration, as well as speed bumps. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted June 20, 2004 Report Posted June 20, 2004 i'd say to check your suspension components. Check your struts...maybe one's dead. Quote
