ZXXXIV Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 How do you guys remove the left side half shaft from the transaxle? I've tried prying on it with a screw driver and an old tire iron with no luck. I've also tried locating a half shaft removal tool with no luck. Thanks for the help. Quote
gp90se Posted June 17, 2004 Report Posted June 17, 2004 tie rod and balljoint disconnected. the sway bar bushing off the control arm and a pry bar or crow bar between the tranny and axle. -Jeff Quote

Guest TurboSedan Posted June 18, 2004 Report Posted June 18, 2004 i used to use a slide hammer but the one i got from Harbor Freight tools is just too big for the job. last time i tried using it i accidentally ripped a CV boot right off :? for now i use a 12" long 1/2" extention and a hammer, and smack the backside of the inner CV joint housing with it....it pops right out....
