If you have the 3100 then this post applies, if not, disregard this post.

 

I did the same thing. I had to remove the coil pack, throttle linkages, and a few vacuum lines. The upper intake manifold does not carry any coolant so you don't have to worry about that. You can leave the TB on, saves some trouble, but I took mine off to paint it easier. There's not that much to it, I was bored one day and decided to paint my upper intake manifold. :)
