90TGP Posted June 15, 2004 Report Posted June 15, 2004 How does your ride feel with the modded suspension compared with the stock suspension???? Here's my mods: KYB GR2 struts on all four. KYB Strut mounts on all four. Front strut tower brace. Rear strut tower brace. GM FE3 replacement front springs. GMPP Tubular Rear Trailing Arms. Moog polyurethane replacement spring pads out back. FFP Upper motormounts with polyurethane mounts. 17x7 wheels with 235/45/17 zr-rated tires. I can deffinitly feel bumps and cracks in the road more then I used to when the car was stock. I know that that comes from the struts and larger wheels. I was thinking of maybe going to Monroe Sensatracks a year or two down the road to gain back a little ride comfort? Quote
god910 Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Well, as I have an Addco rear bar, and some KYB GR2's to go on, and the FFP dogbones, I can't say yet. But my TGP drives like a damn VIPER compared to my Cutty. Every time I get back in the Cutty after driving the TGP I nearly kill myself while trying to get used to the suspension again. Quote
sonyman87 Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Front strut tower brace.Rear strut tower brace. GM FE3 replacement front springs. GMPP Tubular Rear Trailing Arms. FFP Upper motormounts with polyurethane mounts. the listed modds do NOT add comfort but increase handleing capability Low profile tires also allow more transfer of shock compaired to higher profile tires. Anytime you put in Polyurthane mounts it increases the amount of shock transfered between the 2 parts. Your FE3 springs also transfer more shock then a more lighter spring Your STB bars transfer shock to both sides of the car even if its only one bump on the left side it will be felt on the right side. I also have KYB filiments mounts and boots in all 4 corners with stocker springs and only 1 polyurithane dogbone. The comfort level is very acceptible and still handles like a pro. Quote
