dsgrntld187 Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Is it possible to convert the Ram Air from a Grand Am GT to a 3100? I found one pulled off of a GT, and it has all the tubing and the airbox even. Would this work or no? I'm looking for a cheap alternative to a CAI for the moment. Quote
WhiteOut Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 It would certainly be worth a try. There should be enough room to mount the air box and all under the hood of a 3.1 car. Where your going to get air from though is another matter. But if you can pick it up cheap give it a shot. If it doesn't work, send it my way!!! Quote
dsgrntld187 Posted June 14, 2004 Author Report Posted June 14, 2004 I'll try it out when I get it, and if it works I'll let you know. Your right though, getting the air might be tricky, but I can open up a little gap through the "grille" in my car (I guess you could call that plastic mesh shit a grille). Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted June 14, 2004 Report Posted June 14, 2004 Ram Air = cold air intake. All it is. Quote
dsgrntld187 Posted June 14, 2004 Author Report Posted June 14, 2004 I sure hope it works. I don't see why it wouldnt work. I might need to cut some holes in things to get some form of airflow, but in the end it should be good. Quote
