Leather shifter boot

I have seen some pics of grand prix's with the leather boot around the shifter... I hate the damn sliding plastic and the leather "boot" as I've heard it called looks much better... has anyone done this? Where can I get one?

The easiest thing to do would be to nab one from a newer W-body and make it fit. Otherwise ask MommyTaz about how she did hers.

Are you refering to this type of knob that is in the 1995+ Grand Prix's? (I think '95)

I went to a j/y the other day and grabed one off a '95 Grand Prix SE for my Z34. I think this type of shifter knob looks so much better than the stock Z34 knob.

Da boot.. not the handle.

In Grand Ams, yeah I think they look pretty dang cheap. Mommytaz made one.. the way her's turned out, it looks pretty fitting.

Yeah, thats what I want, like mommytaz's... Only in 97+ GP's they did not go all the way up to the handle, its just around the base... our 96 Bonneville SE has the same... looks much better than the cheap sliding things.

On that particular car I think it looks cheap...but that's just me. :|

That Grand Am's looks better, but still nothing I'd want to install on my Luminas.
