Looking good, have you cleaned that engine bay yet? ..Those wheels almost look like they're photoshopped or something..I guess because they're a slightly different color white then the car is(????).....

I can't figure out what's going on with your plenum... is the black paint faded bad or is it just REALLY dirty?

I've seen a lot of the early 90's cars look like that, I think most are from up north, maybe all salt and crap they put on the roads to melt the snow up there fades the paint and takes off some of the casting on aluminum parts under the hood?

Not for me... that's still original paint. Looked worse before but I doused the plenum with degreaser and it cleaned everything right up.

His might just need the same.. I just looked at some pics of my engine I took before I got the car and the plenum looked about as dirty as his.

If you want it to look glossy black again, then buy a paint pen from a hobby store and recolor it, the paint will hold up to the heat just fine(my avatar shows mine..my original black paint looked fine, but the paint pen was a really glossy black). Just wipe the paint off the writing w/ a paper towel or something while coloring in the black.

EDIT: Also, you can take some fine sand paper and wet sand the plenum to get it back to looking great again if need be, you could really make it look nice if you sand it down and polish it(get it looking like a mirror)..but that's more work then most are willing to do.

here's how my plenum w/ 170K on it looks, my plenum on my original 3.1 w/ 230K on it looks the same/like new.
