driving pattern vs. fog pattern

I know what the difference is, but what makes the difference? Different leses, housings, both?

i think the lenses are the big differance fog lights wide and dull

driving lights narrow and bright i'm not sure about that but thats how i see them

Fog lights put light out n a flood pattern toward the ground, never up. about a 130* fan of light.

 

Driving lights send most of their light forward and up with a small amount of light directly in front of the car about a 20* fan of central, brightest light.

Both, as well as the wavelength of the light. Driving lights will be more white/blue and fog lights have to be yellow.

walmart lights arn't exactly high quality, but yes there is a whole color assortment of fogs
