89GPSE Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Hi, I wanted to know if any one has replaced the bushings that were recalled. I belive mine were already replaced, because I see a workup from the Pontiac Dealer is in the paperwork the guy how bought the car new, gave to me when he sold it to me. Also does anyone have a price on the bushings, and know how difficult they were to replace? Also are there preformace bushings around? Thanks, Justin Quote
89GPSE Posted June 9, 2004 Author Report Posted June 9, 2004 Have you done it? If so how much was it? and where did you get them? also were polyurothane bushings or somthing along those lines avilable? Thanks again, Justin Quote
91oldscutlass Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I got the urathane ones from Advance Auto Parts....Dont remember how much they were. Quote
Justin Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Get them done by a dealer. I was driving my 91 GP and as I was taking off from a stoplight, the rear bolts snapped and the cradle hit the ground. Pulled the steering shaft out and everything. It's not the bushings that go bad, it's the bolts that rust out. Quote
5speedz34 Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Mine keep popping alot to and need to be replaced, but I think the recall doesn't cover '92's does it? so I'm SOL. Does ne one know otherwise? -Tony Quote
