GPdriver1986 Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 I was looking on autotrader, here it is http://search.trader.ca/Results.asp?BFROM=1&BAD=Y&BPRICE=Y&BTYPE=B&BCAT=1&BOREGION=-1&BYEAR1=1988&BYEAR2=1996&BPRICE1=&BPRICE2=&BKEYWORD=&BMAKE=750&BMODEL=GRAND+PRIX&q1=%3D+1&c1=@category&q3=750&c3=@makeid&q4=18642&c4=@modelcode&q5=&c5=@adcopy&q6=%3E%3D+1988+ Go down to the bottom of the page, its the green one,1994, $1900, 204 000km. If what they say is true I think this is a good deal if the motor breaks down a 3100 is cheap and so is the trans. SHOULD I BUY THIS CAR? Quote

jeremy Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 too many doors...plus a seafoam green interior is nasty Quote
GPdriver1986 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Report Posted June 7, 2004 I drive a 4 dr GP right now, its a 1991 with 170k on it. I hate it because it has some rust and its just a base. Does anyone have a pic of this sea foam interior? Quote
93GTP Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Well, it's definately worth checking out. Find out what and if it needs anything. My mother bought her '94 SE four door with 200,000 km even on it about 4 years ago and it's still going very strong. Had to do a head gasket job around 210K though so watch for that. It started burning coolant VERY slightly on one cylinder. I can tell you a way to pick up on this if you look at it. Also listen for how bad the lifter noise is when starting COLD. I know it will have it, but it should not be bad and will go away after a few minutes. Mom's car did this when we looked at it but it has not gotten any worse at all. Anyhow her car now has about 292,000 and I swear it runs just as well as when she bought it (which is perfectly btw). Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 Thats a pretty good price for a '94. Is it e-tested and saftied? Quote
GPdriver1986 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Report Posted June 7, 2004 I think its a pretty good looking car , and 200k km is only 132k miles. I also find it hard to believe that old people would drive up to that mileage most old people who drive cars don't do alot of mileage, they must have been on viagra or somethin. Quote
GPdriver1986 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Report Posted June 7, 2004 It doesn't say if its e-tested or certified. I'm sure it would be pretty easy to do it though. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted June 7, 2004 Report Posted June 7, 2004 It's an alright car, but for $1900 I would personally pick up something a bit more interesting like a TGP or Turbo STE if you want 4-doors. Quote
GPdriver1986 Posted June 7, 2004 Author Report Posted June 7, 2004 I live in Canada we don't have TGP's here, and STE's are very rare. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Perfect amount of doors regardless of what other fucks say. The only problem is the interior.. Seafoam green is absolutely disgusting. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I live in Canada we don't have TGP's here, and STE's are very rare. thats true. I haven't seen one in person yet. I've seen STEs.. but no TSTEs. Keep in mind those are CAD prices not in US dollars. Quote
