erik98225
I have a 97 Cutlass Supreme 4 door, which uses the 9006 bulbs (low beam headlights) for DRL. Is there any way to disable DRL but retain the "automatic lights on at night" feature? Yes I am willing to cut/splice wires, etc. if that is what it takes. Forgive me, but I HATE daytime running lights! Erik
sl3196
Should be a fuse you can pull. My 96 had one inside. I think it is the DRL fuse.
erik98225
Should be a fuse you can pull. My 96 had one inside. I think it is the DRL fuse. I've tried pulling that fuse before, but it disables the whole light sensor circuit so you HAVE to use the switch. That's what I didn't want. Instead, I read on this site a better way to do it. I left the DRL fuse connected, and unplugged the big heatsink-looking thing that lowers the voltage to the headlights in the daytime. Took all of 5 minutes. Now the lights work like they should. Always on at night, and if you want them in the daytime, you use the switch. Problem solved. 8)
sl3196
Oh yeah I forgot the fuse turned off auto lights. Mine was way to sensitive so they were almost always on.
