99RegalGS Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 I'm not really sure about the applications but here are the 3800 engines. THe LN3/Vin C 3800 was introduced in 1988. It was the first 3800 engine. It was an SFI engine and had 165 hp and 210 ft/lbs of tq. The L27/Vin L was introduced in 90 or 91. It was a MPFI engine and had 170hp and 220 lbs/tq. In 1992 the L67/Vin 1 came out. It was supercharged and produced 205 hp and 265 lbs/tq. In 1993 the L27 was changed to SFI and Got a plastic upper intake. It had 170hp and 225 lbs/tq. In 1994 the L67's Supercharger blades got a teflon coating. It now produced 225hp and 275 lbs/tq. In 1995 the 3800 was sompletely redone and the Series II was created. L36/Vin K came out in some larger cars in 95. and some other cars didn't get it untill 96. It has either 200 or 205 hp and either 225 or 230 lbs/tq. In 1996 the Series II L67/Vin 1 came out. It is supercharged and has 240hp and 280 lbs/tq. The Series III NA 3800 came out in 2004 has 200hp and 230 lbs/tq. The Series III Supercharged 3800 came out in 2004 and has 260 hp and 280 lbs/tq.
