Cornerdealy Posted May 29, 2004 Report Posted May 29, 2004 http://www.truckperformance.com/products/?productID=90952 Does anyone have any info on this? It says in the description it is an electronic shift improver. It says it installs in 5 minutes. Quote
89GPSE Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 Not a good chance it would work for a w-body, because we are FWD and the trucks are RWD, so they are most likley different electronics. But I could see it working good for the trucks, its from B&M. Quote
Cornerdealy Posted May 30, 2004 Author Report Posted May 30, 2004 ignore the fact that it's on a site called truckperformance.com that site has a few different names, but are the same site, i forget the others. It says it's for our transmission, and it's listed under the parts for a 96 grand prix. I just want to know if it would be worth buying and if it actually does anything. Quote
Cornerdealy Posted May 30, 2004 Author Report Posted May 30, 2004 this is the same exact site: http://performancecenter.com/ they have like different skins for their site. Quote
Cornerdealy Posted May 30, 2004 Author Report Posted May 30, 2004 also, will this work, and how well does it work? http://performancecenter.com/products/?productID=721476 i fucking hate OBD II btw. Quote
Heza Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 forget the Jetchip Power module. as with the B&M...its not electronic. its vacuum. worthless as well. i had it and saw no real difference with it. if you want firmer shifts, get a Transgo rebuild kit and rebuild the tranny. Quote
ctx46 Posted May 30, 2004 Report Posted May 30, 2004 no.. U dont even have to do that..... go buy a adjustable vaccume modulator, install it and play with the line pressure to get the shift U want.... that kit will work, it will work for any vaccume modulated transmission.. and the only advantage of that is.... U can mount that to yur dash..... but dont waist your time with that kit... later joe Quote
White93z34 Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 i know a kid who had a old escort and he managed to wire up a series of resistors to smooth out the shifts, prety neat. Quote
