its not that bad actually.............. jsut spray the bottom 2 bolts with PB blaster a couple times a few hours before you actually take it apart.

I think I'd rather mine had done what your's did. Mine went right through and was banging on the rear deck speaker mount, (The steel plate the speakers mount to.)

 

Mine went while on a washboard gravel road. I ended up jacking up the car and placing a block of wood over the rod. I drilled a beveled hole in the wood for the rod to sit into to keep it in place. (not all the way though the wood.)

 

Then I put a piece of foam rubber between the board and the metal plate.

It got me around for a couple days.

I'm going to try to take it off tomorrow if the weather permits. :?

Hahaha that does look like some fun....NOT. Good-luck!

 

A friend of mines went thru her speaker mount as well...I'd take care of that ASAP.
