Cutting HUD Dash Hole

The car I got my HUD unit out of had no dash top on it so I don't know where exactally to cut the hole. Does anyone know the measurements or have a "stencil" to cut it? I'm assuming if the hole is not in the right spot it will not be able to reflect onto my windshield.

I think the 93 HUD dash is totally different from my 95... your best bet would be to ask gearhead43, I know he has done the install and has been a great help with my electrical woes.

Quite different. Besides, you can't cut the '94-'96 dashpads to accomodate the HUD. The entire thing needs to be replaced. Gearhead or Malibuolds are the few I know of

i got a really crappy dash pad from the same car my HUD came from and used that for quite awhile. i just cut my original non HUD dashpad a few weeks ago. it definately looks alot better than the old warped HUD dash pad. it's not perfect, but looks pretty good. cutting the dash pad was a major PITA! cut...test fit...cut...test fit...over and over. i used a razor to cut the padding away, then i used a Dremel and cutting discs for the hard plastic underneath. i also used a tungsten carbide cutter (a little over kill lol) when i needed to 'carve' the plastic after most of the plastic was already cut away.
