Anyone have these???

any one have these INSTALLED???

 

I have mine ready to install but the Supplied nuts for the Rocker arm studs are way to big......

 

I can use the Stock ones but it has me concrened that maybe you need larger Rocker arm Studs....and will there be any ill effects when these are installed

 

any help is welcome....

 

 

and for those who don't know it for a 1990 TGP 3.1 TURBO Engine

You need rocker studs from a Gen I iron head 2.8. Also, you need to grind out the middle of the "U" on the guideplates, or the guideplates will fail, if you have the 1.6 ratio....trust me, been there done that. If you have stock 1.5 or 1.52, you should be fine. The 1.6s were a nice increase on my n/a 3.1L. OH, and go a 1/2 turn past zero lash to set the pre-load. Comp Cams, says 1/4 turn....but do a 1/2 turn. If you wanna chat more..hit me up on MSN or AIM.
