Jasonz34 Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 asked one person already wanted to make sure these would clear. 245/40/18 I have on 235/35/18 and they seem a bit smaller. Anyone have clearance issues with this size? on a 92 Z34 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=445YR8F1GSD3&fromCompare1=yes Quote
jeremy Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 245/45/17s fit without problems and they are almost the exact same dimensions as 245/40/18s, so they will fit if your rims have the correct offset.... Quote
WhiteOut Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 Be careful about the tires your buying, despite their ratings they vary in physical size due to the tires profile. For example it turns out that my old Michelin X-One tires that were 215's actually measured more like 245 across since they had a broad flat profile. In fact they are actually wider in cross section than the new 235 Goodyear GT's that I've got on my car now which have a more rounder profile. Go figure. Quote
AWeb80 Posted May 27, 2004 Report Posted May 27, 2004 My new tires that are goin on my Eagel 077's are 235/50/18....with my lowering springs on the front...its gonna be damn close on clearance. I might have to die grind a bit of my metal fender away underneath the B4U.....of course i'll repaint it so it won't rust. Quote
Jasonz34 Posted June 2, 2004 Author Report Posted June 2, 2004 Thanks, I guess I'll try to compare them to my original tires. Quote
