gp90se
Out of curiosity, how much boost are you making? If its under 10#s, u might have leakage issues. -Jeff
90TGP
I'm making around 11psi. But I'll check the next chance I get.
god910
First thing I would look at is your 60' times. They are pretty nasty. I would say between that and your trap speeds, you have a 14 second car, you just need to get it there. You have a 15.09 w/ a 2.4 second 60' time. I pull consistent 2.2's in the auto and have a PR of 15.21 You need to watch wheelspin, and launch RPM and boost. I would say that is what is keeping you in the 15's. HTH.
DaveFromColorado
what were the weather conditions while you were racing, temp, relative humidity, barometric pressure, those types of things? that can play a huge factor when you go to the extreme's, like one day 40 degreese, baro at 29" Hg and relative humidity at say 70% your car will run MUCH better then if you're at 90 degreese with the baro at 26" Hg, and a relative humidity of say 40% - just these slight differences can effect how your car will run. --Dave. 90TGP
You're right, I have to work on my launches. Here's my 2nd problem, my track that I goto goes up hill in the last portion.
god910
That big pothole they're filling probably didn't help your launches either.
dbtk2
Why is your car so slow??? 1) You go to a shitty track...going uphill at the end doesn't help 2) Your 60' times are REALLY horrible. You should be able to easily get them down another 2 tenths, which should give you like 3 tenths at the end. I have pulled numerous 2.0 60' times in my STE and our TGP. 3) Not sure about this, but you probably didn't hold the car in 2nd gear until about 6000-6100rpms. If you leave it in D and let it shift itself you will run 1-2 tenths slower. 4) It was 80 degrees outside. Heat is the worst thing for these cars. The colder the better. If it is possible where you are located, try to go to the track when it is like 50-60 degrees out...it will make a huge difference in the times you pull. Also, I don't know if you brake torque at all at the line, but if you do only break torque for a split second. Otherwise the computer will figure out whats happening and lower your boost to save the tranny. Hope that helps. Shawn
90TGP
Well I made some new passes tonight. Weather was in the low 60s, high 50s. Brian P
You're right, I have to work on my launches. Here's my 2nd problem, my track that I goto goes up hill in the last portion. wait wait...Ohio....that's the fucken quaker city dragway or some shit isn't it?!?! z24 turbo 93
yeah that tracks so bad curtis won't even race his car there! not even worth it for him since his times are about 1 sec slower there than any other track
god910
I just looked at your mods list, and shit man. You should be alot faster than that. I would think even a shitty 60' like your putting down you should catch-up. The 15.21 in my auto is ONLY TG160, X-over, filter EVERYTHING else is stock. That time was run while it was giving me shit. You need to drive to Muncie one Saturday, see how it really runs.
90TGP
Yeah it's Quaker  I think the only track that's closer to me is Dragway 42.
slick
Wheres Poland at? I haven't made it to the raceway yet, but theres one in Xenia, called Kil Kare Raceway. One of my buddies goes there, he really likes it.

BIGBULS
On other thing that *may* be holding you back......... MSD ignition coils are pretty much SHIT. I know of a number of GM FWD guys who have run SLOWER after they bought aftermarket coils.............. But I would say your 60ft times are the main culprit. 90TGP
I've never heard anything bad about any MSD products. Maybe you're thinking of the Accel coils?
dbtk2
I don't know about 3.1's, but I know on the L67's (supercharged 3800) the MSD coils don't help performance any, and they start giving trouble and fail often. I'm not sure that they hurt performance, but they definately don't help, and I wouldn't doubt it if they do hurt performance. I definately wouldn't buy them. Your stock coils are PLENTY. You can run like 10's with them. My dad has stock coils on his GTP and pulls 12.2's @ 115 with no problems. There is at least one person in the 10's with a GTP that runs stock coils...and most of them in the 11's do (if not all). Shawn
