godofthunder Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Ok a while ago, that little spring inside the door broke, so the thing just swings open when i stop and what not. Well, at the JY yesterday, I was able to get a spring out of another W...but with to much force, damaging the door. Theres one screw I can see...and that was out. But something on the arm towards the back felt like it was still holding on. How can I put this spring in without bending the door or scraping the car? jon Quote
digitaloutsider Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 You have to take off the left rear inner fender well. Quote
godofthunder Posted May 20, 2004 Author Report Posted May 20, 2004 that black plastic stuff? So, im thinking take the wheel off, few screws, and im there? and then i can see everything needed to put this spring back in? jon Quote

godofthunder Posted May 21, 2004 Author Report Posted May 21, 2004 haha...my armrest and that broke the same night! Armrest was done today. But, really...its all that work above to replace this thing? jon Quote
LukeZ34 Posted May 21, 2004 Report Posted May 21, 2004 I replaced it on my Lumina when I had it, but I can't remember what all was involved. All I know is it was tricky to get that spring in there. Quote
bryanjoseph Posted May 22, 2004 Report Posted May 22, 2004 Just use chewing gum or putty to stick it closed. Quote
godofthunder Posted May 24, 2004 Author Report Posted May 24, 2004 hah, if it takes to long, im actually going to use a magnet jon Quote
