Rear window

Anyone else ever notice that in extremely cold weather how the back window in the w-bodies seems like it creaks so much that its gonna break!? When I hit bumps in either my Lumina or my 94 GP in the cold weather like we have now, 20 degrees and down, it sounds like that back window is gonna go flyin' out.

i bet if you rub a thin coat of vaseline around the edge of the window that would help. i hear the noise too sometimes and i've been wanting to try this. i also have creaking coming from the part of the dash that meets the A-pillars and windshield and want to do the 'vaseline thing' there too :) that sqeaking/creaking noise gets irritating quick. i find myself cranking the stereo just to drown it out sometimes.

Just rip it off. The other seals do the real job. The most that seal does is keep water from freezing between the trunk and window (also maybe to help keep the drain area clean), but it doesnt really work anyway
