f_399 Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 My coolant is totally leaking. I stopped in a gas station to ask directions and when i went back to my car i saw a big puddle of coolant. Open the hood and it was leaking. I dont know exactly where but i saw coolant dripping from what i believe is the pump pulley( tho closest one to you when you are looking at the engine from the headlights. So the belt was spraying all around the belts. WHats wrong? There were no warning signs except i kept rifilling coolant every so often. How much for a water pump if this is the problem and also how much to install? Quote
gp90se Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 autozone, its under $20 and takes me about 15 minutes to do for the waterpump. first check the basic shit, hoses for cracks, hose clamps, the rad cap, blah blah. -Jeff Quote
sl3196 Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Probaly water pump. I had mine done on my 96 cutlass dont remember price of labor but the pump is only $31.49 at napaonline. Might want to have them also check your intake gaskets! Quote
Slade901 Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 You might want to do a coolant flush and thermostat while you are at it. Quote
