decker
Hey I just got a 93 Grand Prix GTP and have a little problem that i hope someone can help me with. The keyless entry on the car only works sometimes. It acts like it's not receiving the signal from the remote. I would rather not replace the whole thing or pay someone to fix it if its something that i could do my self. If anyone has come across a similar situation and can help that would be awsome. Thanx Decker
DaveFromColorado
used to happen all the time in my mom's old Jeep, we just had to replace the battery in the remote and it worked fine after that. --Dave

GnatGoSplat
The module probably needs to be resoldered. Use some solvent (I use lacquer thinner) to remove the clear coating on the circuit boards. Then dab some paste flux on each solder joint, and go in with the soldering iron and melt the solder on each joint till it flows and looks shiny. That should fix it.
