cstyle73 Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 Well I have my engine, harness, tranny, and money ready. Since my car will be down for interior upgrades (translation: lot's of fiberglass), and a whole new rear suspension I thought I would get this engine rebuilt. I was thinkin' about boring it out and getting a new cam, new pistons, etc...... What is the maximum safe amount, and any recommendations on cams. Just filled two cameras up with film and I'll be gettin them put on disks. Pics of the terrible crash coming soon. Quote
91GranSport Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 I think the most you can bore out is .020 inch. That is, according to 3800 Performance. You can also get a high lift cam from Thrashercharged. Here are the websites: http://www.3800performance.com http://www.thrashercharged.com Quote
RedZMonte Posted December 2, 2002 Report Posted December 2, 2002 most blocks can go 60 over.. but i would recomend doing the VERY minimum.. 10over. Grandprixstore.com and ZZPerformance.com also has a Comp cam's. RedZ Quote
